    Appointment of Group Finance Director


    Claimar Care Group plc ("Claimar Care" or "the Company"), one of the UK's leading providers of domiciliary, high dependency and acquired
illness care services to local authorities, Primary Care Trusts and the NHS, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Nick Townend, ACA,
as Group Finance Director. He joins the Company on 11 August 2008 from Anchor Trust..

    Mr Townend, 41, is currently responsible for the finance function at Anchor Trust, the largest not-for-profit provider of housing,
support and care for the elderly in England, with turnover of approximately �250m and a staff of over 11,000. He has responsibility for all
aspects of cashflow and treasury management, budgets, financial planning and forecasting, and statutory and regulatory reporting. He joined
Anchor Trust in 2005 as Head of Finance of its Care Services division, having previously held senior positions at Tetra Pak and Royal & Sun
Alliance. 

    His only previous directorship in the past 5 years was at Anchor Lifestyle Developments Limited, the property subsidiary of Anchor
Trust. He does not currently hold any shares in Claimar Care and there are no other matters which are required to be disclosed in accordance
with Rule 17 and Schedule 2 of the AIM Rules.

    Commenting on Mr Townend's appointment, John Crabtree, Claimar Care Chairman said:
