Director's Dealing

The  Company  was notified on 25 September 1997 that  Mr  R  J
Shashoua,   a   non-executive  director   of   the    Company,
purchased   10,000  ordinary shares  of   5p   each   in   the
Company  ("Ordinary Shares"), representing 0.06 per  cent.  of
the  Company's issued share capital, on 23  September 1997  at
a    price  of  142p  per  Ordinary  Share.   Following   this
transaction   Mr  R  J  Shashoua  has  a  beneficial  interest
in 22,540 Ordinary Shares which represents  0.14  per cent. of
the Company's issued ordinary share capital.
