                            Appointment of Director 
 
The Board of Gartmore Fledgling Trust plc is pleased to announce the 
appointment of Mr Robert Jeens as a non-executive director of the Company with 
effect from 1 September 2010. 
 
Mr Jeens is a chartered accountant with more than 20 years' experience in the 
investment and financial services industry. He is currently a non-executive 
director of Henderson Group plc and The Royal London Mutual Insurance Society 
Limited, where he also serves as chairman of their audit committees. He is also 
a non-executive director of T R European Growth Trust PLC and a number of 
private companies.  His previous non-executive appointments include senior 
independent director of Dialight plc, chairman of nCipher plc and deputy 
chairman of Hepworth plc. He was formerly group finance director of Woolwich 
plc and, prior to that, finance director of Kleinwort Benson Group plc and 
audit partner at Touche Ross & Co. 
 
There are no further matters requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in 
respect of this appointment.
