                                 Board Changes 
 
The Board of Gartmore Fledgling Trust plc is pleased to announce the 
appointment of Mr Tom Bartlam as a non-executive director of the Company with 
immediate effect. 
 
Mr Bartlam was formerly a founder and managing director of Intermediate Capital 
Group plc, the leading independent mezzanine provider and investor in Europe. 
Tom is a chartered accountant with more than 30 years' experience in the 
investment and financial services industry. He is currently Chairman of 
Pantheon International Participations plc and Polar Capital Holdings plc and is 
a non-executive director of Numis Corporation plc. Prior to founding 
Intermediate Capital Group plc in 1989, he was a director of Charterhouse Bank 
where he was involved in their corporate finance and private equity activities. 
His previous non-executive appointments include Homebuy Group plc and F&C UK 
Select Trust plc. 
 
There are no further matters requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 9.6.13 in 
respect of this appointment. 
 
Mr Robert Jeens, who is a main board director of Henderson Group plc, has today 
resigned as a non-executive director of Gartmore Fledgling Trust plc. The 
Company's assets will now be managed by Henderson Group plc following its 
acquisition of Gartmore Group Limited. The Board thanks Robert for his valuable 
contribution during his time as a Director. Mr Rod Birkett succeeds Robert as 
Chairman of the Audit Committee.
