              MAJESTIC WINE PLC ("MAJESTIC WINE" OR THE "COMPANY")

                                ISSUE OF EQUITY



The company has issued and allotted, subject to admission, 45,036 new ordinary
30p shares to the Majestic Wine Employee Share Ownership Trust at a
consideration of #6.31 per share in order to satisfy liabilities arising under
the Senior Managers Bonus Scheme.



The new ordinary shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares
of the Company.  Trading is expected to commence on AIM on 7 July 2003.
