Amendment to Notification of Major Interests in Shares

The Company received notification today, from Hill Samuel Asset Management
Limited, amending the information received by the Company on 6th June 2000,
distinguishing between material and non-material interests held by Scottish
Widows Investment Partnership Limited ("Scottish Widows").  Consequently,
Scottish Widows is interested in 4,357,026 ordinary shares of the Company, of
this interest 2,923,766 ordinary shares are material and represent 3.34% of the
issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
