CA Names Thomas Kendra to Lead Strategy and Business Development and CA Clarity PPM Business Unit

CA, Inc. (NASDAQ: CA), the world�s leading independent IT management software company, today named Thomas Kendra as senior vice president, strategy and business development, and general manager of the CA Clarity Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) business unit, reporting to Ajei Gopal, executive vice president, Products and Technology Group.

Kendra will focus on developing product and technology strategies that achieve long-term growth objectives, while also expanding and deepening CA�s partnerships with other technology vendors to maximize the value CA delivers to customers.

Kendra also will oversee CA�s Clarity PPM business unit, including product strategy and development for CA�s market-leading CA Clarity PPM solution.

Kendra most recently was at Symantec Corp., where as group president of the Security and Data Management Group he led product management, engineering, alliances and business development. Prior to that, he was group president for Sales, Services and Support, leading a worldwide team of sales, technical, services and support professionals.

Prior to joining Symantec, Kendra spent 26 years at IBM, where he held a number of executive positions in the software and server groups with U.S. and worldwide responsibility.

Kendra currently is on the board of directors of RightNow Technologies and serves on its audit and governance and nominating committees. He is also on the board of directors of Pareto Networks and is on the executive board of directors of the Association for Corporate Growth, Silicon Valley. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
