Corinthian Colleges Opens Everest Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland - Third Washington, D.C. (NASDAQ:COCO) opened a new Everest Institute in Silver Spring, Maryland, the school's third campus in the greater Washington, D.C. metropolitan area and first in the state of Maryland. The new Everest Institute-Silver Spring will initially offer a diploma program in medical assisting to prepare students for careers in healthcare. Corinthian expects the campus to have a student population of approximately 400 within two years of its opening. The new facility at 8757 Georgia Avenue in downtown Silver Spring will eventually encompass approximately 30,000 square feet and is the fourth new branch campus Corinthian has opened in fiscal year 2005.
