Corinthian Colleges' Mary Barry Named Visionary of the Year by
Coastline Community College Foundation SANTA ANA, Calif., May 23
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mary Barry, Executive Vice President of
Academic Affairs at Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (NASDAQ:COCO), has
been named "Visionary of the Year" by the Coastline Community
College Foundation in recognition of her lifetime commitment to
education. Throughout her professional career, Barry has been a
community leader and dedicated proponent for accessible, quality
education. Coastline's Visionary of the Year Awards Gala recognizes
outstanding leaders who make innovative contributions that address
a wide range of educational needs in various communities throughout
the country. Corinthian's Chief Executive Officer Jack Massimino

and education." Mary Barry attained the rank of major in the U.S.
Marine Corps and worked as a banking executive before entering the
education industry in 1990. She joined Corinthian Colleges, one of

companies, in 1998. Currently Mary leads academic affairs for
Corinthian, where she has implemented a wide range of innovative
programs, including faculty development and compliance management.
Additionally, she has drawn on her extensive experience to bring a
practical, business discipline to the area of academics. Mary has
also volunteered her skills and talents with a number of
organizations, including the Irvine Public School District, Junior
Achievement and the Northwestern University Alumni Association of
Orange County. Barry holds a Juris Doctor degree from Western State
University; a master's degree in management from the Kellogg
Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University; and, a
bachelor's degree in speech/drama education from Bowling Green
State University. She serves on the editorial boards of Adult
Assessment Forum, an education industry journal, and "Becoming a
Master Student," a textbook now in its tenth edition. About
