W. P. Carey Provides Corinthian Colleges $52 Million In Build-To-Suit Financing

NEW YORK, Feb. 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Investment firm W. P.
Carey & Co. LLC (NYSE:WPC) announced today that it has agreed
to provide Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (NASDAQ:COCO), a
post-secondary education company, approximately $52 million to fund
the construction of two new student housing facilities. A
156-apartment facility in Laramie, WY will accommodate 624 students
and a 164-apartment facility in Blairsville, PA will house 648
students. The facilities will be operated under the WyoTech brand
name, which is part of Corinthian's Titan Schools division. WyoTech
offers specialized training in the automotive, diesel,
collision/refinishing, aviation, motorcycle and marine industries.

W. P. Carey acquired the facility on behalf of its affiliated
income generating real estate fund Corporate Property Associates 16
- Global. Corinthian Colleges will lease the properties under two
separate 20-year leases with four, ten-year renewal options. CRESA

represented Corinthian Colleges, Inc. in structuring the
sale-leaseback transactions. In addition, CRESA Partners provided
the outsourced real estate services for Corinthian and handled all
real estate aspects of these projects including site selection,
design management and construction management of the
