Corinthian Colleges Expands to 22 States With Opening of New Bryman
Institute in Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro Area - Ninth New Campus
Opened in Fiscal 2004 - SANTA ANA, Calif., June 17
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (NASDAQ:COCO)
today announced the opening of its first campus in Minnesota,
marking the 22nd state in which Corinthian schools are operating.
The new Bryman Institute, encompassing approximately 24,000 square
feet located at Spectrum Commerce Center, 1000 Blue Gentian Road in
Eagan, will prepare Minneapolis/St. Paul metro area students for
careers in healthcare. "We are pleased to bring our well-known and
respected Bryman allied health curricula to Minnesota with the
opening of our new campus in Eagan," said David G. Moore, chairman
and chief executive officer. "The Minneapolis/ St. Paul
metropolitan area is an attractive market for the outstanding and
popular Bryman programs that meet the needs of career-oriented
students and prospective employers." Bryman-Eagan, Corinthian's
newest Bryman campus, will offer diploma programs in allied health,
including its high-demand massage therapy program. The Bureau of
Labor Statistics projects the demand for massage therapists will
increase 27% over the 2002 to 2012 period, growing from
approximately 92,000 jobs to approximately 117,000 jobs. Corinthian
has announced plans to open ten new branch campuses in fiscal 2004,
which will end June 30. Bryman-Eagan is the ninth campus opened
thus far. Corinthian expects the campus to have a student
population of approximately 400 within two years of its opening.
