Universal Electronics Inc. (UEI), a global leader in smart home technology is excited to announce the expansion of its QuickSet Widget family with the introduction of QuickSet Widget Pro line-up at the upcoming International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas this January.

The expanded QuickSet Widget family, now including the UE72Y and UE72X models, is designed to unlock new capabilities for connected devices in the home through a mix of advanced multi-protocol connectivity and unique on-device software capabilities that allows the device to understand and adapt to varying home environments.

The QuickSet Widget family integrates multiple communication protocols to deliver managed connectivity for a range of devices in the home from HVAC systems, Smart Thermostats and other home appliances looking to deliver connected experience. Introduction of QuickSet Widget Pro in this family, enables advanced connectivity with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, and support for Matter, Zigbee and OpenThread Border Router Host services, ensuring seamless connectivity and interoperability with different smart home devices and ecosystems. This multi-protocol support allows the QuickSet Widgets to interact with a wide range of devices, making them a versatile solution for various smart home applications.

One of the standout features of the QuickSet Widget family is the high-performance processor in the UE72Y model, which is capable of handling complex tasks such as Edge AI processing and video stream decoding. This makes the UE72Y an ideal choice for devices that require robust performance and reliability.

In addition to its powerful processing capabilities, the QuickSet Widget family also supports advanced security features to protect user data and ensure the integrity of the smart home system. This includes secure boot, encrypted communication, and hardware-based security modules.

Pre-integrated with an advanced software suite, including QuickSet 7 with QuickSet homeSense that also supports Matter Controller Multi-Admin capability, QuickSet Widget Pro is designed for the future of home intelligence. The QuickSet Widget family is uniquely integrated with UEI's QuickSet Cloud and nevo®.ai, enhancing its capabilities and providing a secure and managed smart home device experience throughout the full lifecycle of a connected device including on-boarding, monitoring, updates and support. AI-powered support is offered through integration with nevo.ai where an expert virtual agent, connected in real-time to a device, can help you investigate and resolve issues or discover new features and capabilities of your device.

Arsham Hatambeiki, SVP of Products and Technology at UEI, commented, "We are proud to introduce the new additions to the QuickSet Widget family at CES. The expanded connectivity, compute and advanced software features in the new Pro family envision more private and capable smart home devices that can keep up with the evolving needs of smart home users and can learn and adapt as the home environment changes."
