BOCA RATON, Fla., Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless has promoted Jeff Cannon to director of Business Operations for its South Florida market, which covers Key West to Vero Beach. In his new role, Cannon is responsible for the financial management of the South Florida market, including all budgeting, forecasting, revenue and expense analysis, and reporting. Prior to joining the South Florida market, Cannon was a director of Investor Relations for Cingular at it headquarters in Atlanta. Cannon started his telecommunications career in Mexico City as a financial analyst with SBC International, Inc. He has held several finance positions within Cingular since joining the company in 2001. Cannon holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Utah and an MBA in finance and international business from Texas A&M University. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
