Burton Leads the Chase for the Cup with Seven Races Left in 2006 BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Oct. 3 /PRNewswire/ -- As the Cup Series shifts into overdrive for its season-ending stretch run to crown a champion, TEAM Cingular is in the driver's seat with driver Jeff Burton leading the championship point standings after the first three races in the Chase for the Cup.
