RESTON, Va., May 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) was recently awarded a contract potentially valued at $100 million to provide Anti-Terrorism Force Protection (ATFP) systems and capabilities to Navy installations around the world. The contract was awarded by the U.S. Naval Facilities Engineering Command. Under the terms of the five-year, multiple award, indefinite- delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, Northrop Grumman will utilize a total systems engineering approach to develop, install, integrate, test and support the fielding of software and hardware that will automate and improve the security and advanced warning posture of Navy shore installations worldwide. This contract will emphasize state-of-the-art solutions to meet requirements for physical security; access control; emergency management; chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear protection; and command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. Contracts were awarded March 14 to Northrop Grumman and three other companies. Each company will compete for task orders that have potential overall value of $100 million for each company if all options are exercised. The contract includes one base-year and four one-year options with an expected completion date of March 2012, if all options are exercised. Work will be performed at Navy stations worldwide.
