Northrop Grumman has secured a contract worth up to $732 million to build 38 data-transport satellites.

The aerospace and defense company said the award from the Space Development Agency includes supporting ground elements and five years worth of operations and sustainment.

The company said the satellites were scheduled to launch starting December 2026.

Northrop Grumman has now received awards for 132 satellites in total from the SDA. The company in August announced an order from the U.S. agency for 36 satellites.
