Stephen Cooke Joins Radian as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer for Financial Guaranty NEW YORK, Sept. 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Radian Asset Assurance Inc. today announced that Stephen D. Cooke has joined the company as executive vice president, chief legal officer. In this role, Mr. Cooke will be responsible for managing all legal issues related to the day-to-day operations of Radian's financial guaranty business. Mr. Cooke joins Radian from American Capital Access (ACA), where he served as executive vice president and general counsel. Previously, he was special counsel at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, where he represented insurance companies and investment banking clients in insurance capital market transactions. Prior to that, Mr. Cooke worked for Ambac Assurance Corporation, where he held the position of managing director and general counsel during the majority of his seventeen-year tenure. David J. Beidler, who had previously held the position of chief legal officer, has taken on the newly created role of senior vice president and counselor to the president. In this role, Mr. Beidler will focus on credit and business strategy issues in collaboration with Tino Kamarck, president of Radian Asset Assurance.
