The Rosen Law Firm announces that it is investigating potential
securities claims against Altisource Residential Corporation (NYSE:
RESI) resulting from allegations that RESI may have issued
materially misleading business information to the investing
public.
On December 22, 2014, RESI announced William C. Erbey will step
down as Chairman of its Board of Directors effective January 16,
2015, following an investigation by the New York Department of
Financial Services (NYDFS). The NYDFS investigation also relates to
Erbey’s potential conflicts of interests involving Erbey, Ocwen
Financial Corporation and Altisource Residential, Altisource
Portfolio Solutions S.A. and Home Loan Servicing Solutions, Ltd.
(HLSS).
On January 23, 2015, BlueMountain Capital Management, LLC
announced it delivered a notice of default against HLSS Servicer
Advance Receivables Trust on notes issued by the Trust and owned by
BlueMountain. In its notice of default, BlueMountain cited to
Ocwen’s regulatory problems, among other recent actions, which
“materially increase the risk of loss on the Notes that are
collateralized by receivables affected by Ocwen’s standing as a
servicer.”
