meal to their local Salvation Army unit at
Walmart.com/thanksgiving, customers can also round up any purchase
on Walmart.com to benefit the organization. At participating
Walmart stores and Sam’s Clubs, customers can also donate to the
Salvation Army Red Kettles or buy gifts for children in need
through the Angel Tree program. These efforts build on Walmart and
the Walmart Foundation’s long-standing support of The Salvation
Army. Last year, Walmart customers and Sam’s Club members raised
more than $34 million to support local Salvation Army units and
Walmart and the Walmart Foundation have awarded more than $7
million to the organization over the last five years.
"We are deeply grateful for our longstanding partnership with
Walmart. Their holiday contributions make a lasting difference,
helping us provide vital services and hope to those in need.
Together, we are making a meaningful impact this season," said
Commissioner Kenneth Hodder, national commander of The Salvation
Army.
Additionally, customers can purchase a Thanksgiving meal for a
loved one – whether they’re down the street or across the country.
Customers can input their friend or family’s address into
Walmart.com, and an entire Thanksgiving meal can be delivered
straight to their door, or ready for pickup at their local Walmart.
It’s just one more way Walmart is helping customers bring more joy
to those they care about.
