Exxon Reports Flaring at Refinery in Torrance, Calif.

Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) reported flaring at its Torrance
refinery in southern California.
The refinery said it exceeded the reportable quantity of 500
pounds of sulfur oxides, citing a "planned flaring event" Thursday
night, according to a statement from the California Emergency
Management Agency.
It said the refinery, which has a 155,000-barrel-a-day capacity,
continues to operate, and there were no observed vapor clouds.
