Exxon Reports Operational Snag, Flaring at Beaumont, Texas, Refinery

Exxon Mobil Corp. (XOM) reported an operational disruption and
flaring of gas emissions at its refinery in Beaumont, Texas.
In a statement to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality,
the refinery cited a "process upset" as the cause for the emissions
of carbon monoxide and other gases that happened Monday and lasted
about four hours. "The refinery anticipates no impact to
production," it said.
The 362,000-barrel-a-day Beaumont refinery is located 90 miles
east of Houston.
