                             ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

At today's Annual General Meeting of Hampton Trust PLC ("Hampton Trust") all the
proposed resolutions were duly passed by shareholders.

Mr Graeme Jackson, Chairman and Chief Executive of Hampton Trust, told
shareholders at the meeting that it is the Company's intention to withdraw from
non income producing developments over the next few months and focus resources
on income producing investments.
