Western Pacific Trust Company: Appointment of New President and CEO

Western Pacific Trust Company (TSX VENTURE:WP) is pleased to announce that Dr.
Anthony Liscio, Chairman of the Board of Directors is assuming the position of
President and Chief Executive Officer effective April 1, 2008.


Dr. Liscio has been a Director of the Company since October 8, 2004, and
Chairman of the Board since December 7, 2004.


Dr. Liscio takes over from Mr. Rocco Liscio(i), who has served as the Company's
President and Chief Executive Officer since November 28, 2006. While the
increasing demands on Mr. Liscio's time from his other business pursuits have
obliged him to resign as President and C.E.O., the Board of Directors is very
pleased that Rocco Liscio will continue to serve as a Director of the Company,
and Chair of the Audit Committee.
