North Dallas Bank Awards Scholarship Winners DALLAS, May 25 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- North Dallas Bank recently hosted a reception to honor Holly Amerson and Katy Fritts, two area students who are the recipients of the 2005 James W. Tyra Memorial Scholarship, a four-year renewing scholarship for graduating seniors of local high schools. Amerson is a senior at MacArthur High School in Irving and plans to attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. She has been involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, student council, Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), National Honor Society, softball and Habitat for Humanity. Holly's special high school recognitions include Teenager of the Month, Most Outstanding Junior, Academic Excellence and the Joshua Award. Fritts is a senior at J.J. Pearce High School in Richardson and will be attending Ouachita Baptist University in Arkansas. Her extracurricular activities include Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD), soccer club, Spanish club, softball, math club, track and soccer coach. Katy has been recognized for her accomplishments in the Who's Who Among American High School Students, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honor Society, President's Education Award for Outstanding Academic Excellence, Academic Excellence in BCIS, Excellence in Pre-AP Biology, Outstanding Pre-AP English Student, Outstanding Effort Pre- AP Algebra 2, and Texas Board Celebration of Excellence.
