India's Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. (524804.BY) said Thursday it has received U.S. Food and Drug Administration's tentative approval to sell generic lopinavir/ritonavir tablets.

The company said the approval is for lopinavir/ritonavir tablets in 100/25-milligram and 200/50-mg doses. The drug is a generic equivalent of Abbott Laboratories' (ABT) Kaletra tablets.

The tablets are indicated in combination with other anti-retroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and children above the age of two years, the company said in a statement.
