DaimlerChrysler Announces Retirement of Steven A. Torok AUBURN
HILLS, Mich., Dec. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- DaimlerChrysler
Corp. today announced the retirement of Steven A. Torok, Senior
Vice President - Strategic Assessment. Torok, who was named to the
position in June, has held a number of key positions during his 30
years with the company, among them, Chrysler Group Vice President -
Business Strategy; General Manager, Chrysler-Plymouth Division;
General Manager, Mopar Parts Division; and Executive Director,
Sales and Marketing Operations. Torok was also a key member of the
Chrysler "Loan Guarantee" team and the post-merger integration
team. "We'll miss Steve's valuable contributions, especially in
regard to global development," said Tom LaSorda, Chrysler Group
Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Board of Management Member,
DaimlerChrysler AG. "His decision to retire is a personal one that
the company respects." "I'll miss the great Chrysler Group family
-- it has been a part of my life for many years," said Torok. "At
the same time, I am looking with keen anticipation to a new phase
with different challenges and opportunities." Torok joined Chrysler
Corporation in June 1973, and has held positions in Finance,
Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Service, Strategic Planning and
International Operations. Prior to being named to Senior Vice
President - Strategic Assessment, Torok held the title of Executive
Vice President and Member of the Board of Mitsubishi Motors Corp.
