Pharma giant Sanofi SA, telecoms company Orange SA, technology consultancy Capgemini SE, and insurer Assicurazioni Generali SpA said Monday that they plan to create a joint venture in France to develop a digital health-care ecosystem.

"The founding partners are planning an initial investment of 24 million euros in the new entity, which will be operational from June 2021 for the virtual platform and December 2021 for the physical platform," they said.

The companies said the project will see them share their technologies and expertise to develop digital health-care services and solutions that will then be made available to patients and professionals in the sector.
