                  earthport plc ("earthport" or the "Company")

                 Agreement with DataCash Group plc ("DataCash")

earthport is pleased to announce it has signed a joint supply agreement with
DataCash.  earthport and DataCash have complimentary solutions to the payments
market and a commercial agreement has been completed in which the parties will
resell each other's systems to their own customers.


DataCash will promote the earthport banking network to their customers for
transfer of funds and payments, while earthport will promote the DataCash
portfolio to its existing customers and to new prospects.


earthport will integrate a DataCash link into its UPN platform so it will
provide a seamless pay-in and pay-out banking solution for DataCash customers.
Each company will mount a marketing programme of their own product/service base
to the others customer base/network.


earthport Executive Chairman, Mike Harrison said "The DataCash agreement
demonstrates the contribution that earthport's generic payments infrastructure
can make to existing payment solution companies.  In addition the agreement
widens the earthport offering to its existing and potential customers.  It is
already being implemented with sales opportunities currently being negotiated.
