Purchase of own shares for cancellation

European Convergence Development Company PLC ("ECDC" or "the Company")announces that on Wednesday 12 December 2012 it purchased for cancellation 200,000 Ordinary Shares in the Company through Panmure Gordon at a price, before expenses, of EUR 0.0325.

As a result of these purchases and cancellations, ECDC will have 89,815,470 Ordinary Shares of EUR 0.80 each in issue.
