Education Development International plc ('the Company'), the leading provider of 
educational qualifications and assessment services, purchased 400,000 shares in 
the Company on 8 September 2010, at a price of 100p per share.  These shares 
will be held as Treasury shares. 
 
Following this purchase the company holds 400,000 shares in Treasury and 
excluding these shares, has a total of 56,359,647 shares in issue. 
 
The figure of 56,359,647 should be used by shareholders as the denominator for 
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify 
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the Company under the 
Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
