Intuitive Investments Group plc
(SFS: IIG) ("IIG" or the "Company"), a closed-end investment
company focused on high-growth opportunities in the technology and
life sciences sectors, announces a new milestone for its investee
company, Hui10 Inc. ("Hui10"), which has taken a significant step
forward in its strategic expansion into China's taxi and
ride-hailing industry.
Under the new agreement with ride
hailing business Shouyue Technology (Beijing) Co. - the operator of
'Shouqi Taxi' in China - Hui10 will launch a pilot programme of UGO
Scratch which will enable China's Sports
Lottery scratchcard sales in taxi and ride-hailing cars. Hui10's
digital and payments technology platform will bring instant-win
scratchcard distribution and play to millions of consumers. The
pilot programme will be launched in Datong City, Shanxi Province,
and will mark the beginning of a planned expansion across the
region. Datong has a population of over 3
million and is one of the most popular tourist cities in China with
5.6 million tourist visits a year.
UGO Scratch is a digitally
integrated Sports Lottery solution developed by Hui10, in
collaboration with China UnionPay and China National Communications
Information Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of China's Ministry of
Transport. It will allow passengers in taxis, trains, buses and
ferries across China to purchase, play and redeem winning instant
scratchcard tickets directly through UnionPay POS terminals
installed in vehicles.
As a result of this initiative, taxi
drivers will also benefit from additional revenue streams. The
programme is aligned with and strengthens the role of China's
Sports Lottery in public welfare funding, contributing to sports
development, social programmes, and community
initiatives.
Sir
Nigel Rudd, Chairman of IIG, commented: "This landmark agreement positions Hui10 at the forefront of
China's digital lottery transformation, using technology to drive
accessibility and engagement. It is a major milestone in
integrating digital sports lottery sales into China's people
transportation sector, which further underpins Hui10's position in
the digitisation of the Chinese lottery industry. By integrating
sports scratchcard sales into China's taxi and ride-hailing
industry, Hui10 is opening up a vast new customer base, all while
supporting China's national digital payments and lottery
modernisation strategy, as well as its welfare programmes. This
initiative marks another crucial step in the expansion of Hui10's
ecosystem, and represents a major growth opportunity for IIG
shareholders."
