Update on DRC
Proceedings
19
February 2025
Red Rock Resources Plc, the natural
resource exploration and development company with interests
in gold, base metals, battery metals, and
hydrocarbons principally in Africa and Australia announces an update on
the Company's arbitration proceedings in the DRC further to its
announcement of 29 January 2025.
Despite the invasion of the east of
the country by Rwandan-backed forces, and the demonstrations that
followed but proved difficult to control, the Company has minimised
the delay to its schedule and continues on the same course and with
the same expectations.
The Company is pursuing the
finalisation of this matter and looks forward to an early
announcement in this regard.
Red
Rock Chairman Andrew Bell comments: "Inevitably the invasion in
the east of the country has been a distraction and caused delay,
including days when offices were shut and flights cancelled. By
maintaining constant high level pressure throughout the last month
we have been able to continue the process. I myself have made three
visits to Kinshasa in the last month and spend most of my time
there, but we are also well served by our local partners who are
working full-time on our behalf.
Sometimes process cannot be hurried, but equally process is
finite in its scope and generally predictable in its outcomes.
While it is understood that investors will have concerns, we
reiterate the guidance previously given that a conclusion is
expected imminently."
