Effective as of August 2, 2014, Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (the “Company”) accepted the resignation of Mr. Alexander Molyneux as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Molyneux did not resign because of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies, or practices.

 

On August 7, 2014, the Company issued a press release reporting the resignation of Mr. Molyneux from the Company’s Board of Directors. A copy of this press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.

Ivanhoe Energy Board Announcement

CALGARY, Aug. 7, 2014 /CNW/ - Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (TSX: IE; NASDAQ: IVAN) today reported the resignation of Mr. Alexander Molyneux from the Company's Board of Directors, effective August 2, 2014, in order to devote time to manage his other commitments. Mr. Molyneux has served on the Company's Board of Directors since May 2010.
