Cingular Wireless To Invest $22 Million Throughout Hawaii To Enhance Service Quality and Expand Coverage Company to Build More Than 22 Cell Sites to Better Serve its ALLOVER(SM) Network Customers HONOLULU, July 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Cingular Wireless, the country's largest wireless provider, announced it will invest about $22 million throughout Hawaii in 2005 to install over 22 new cell sites as part of a $6.2 billion commitment to enhance and expand its ALLOVER(SM) network* nationwide. Already this year, Cingular has put new sites into service in Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii. In addition, the company has expanded capacity statewide. The network improvements will enable Cingular customers in Hawaii to experience the highest level of voice service quality and offer some of the most advanced data services to more customers in more places. Last year, Cingular invested more than $9 million dollars, in network upgrades to improve coverage and offer enhanced services throughout Hawaii. Cingular customers will have access to some 45,000 cell sites nationally by the end of 2006. The company already offers customers access to the largest digital voice and data network in America, and Hawaii is an important part of that network.
