Federal Court Holds Momentum in Contempt for Continuing to Misuse BellSouth's Name and Conducting Inappropriate Marketing Practices in Violation of Injunction ATLANTA, May 6 /PRNewswire/ -- BellSouth today announced that a Federal District Court held Momentum Business Solutions, Inc. in contempt of court for violating the Court's injunction prohibiting Momentum from misrepresenting it's affiliation with BellSouth or stating that BellSouth endorsed its products and services. The court fined Momentum and determined that a monitoring order was necessary to prohibit further misconduct. BellSouth sought contempt sanctions after Momentum continued to engage in the prohibited conduct in spite of the Court's injunction entered in October, 2002. BellSouth based its contempt motion on sworn declarations from customers who complained to BellSouth about Momentum's conduct. In total, BellSouth submitted over a hundred sworn statements by customers complaining about Momentum's misconduct. Additionally, BellSouth included over 700 customer complaints that Momentum switched their service provider without the customer's authorization.
