Cingular Wireless Launches Service in Dublin Company Opening Two New Stores and Adding New Network Coverage ATLANTA, June 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Due to the increase in demand for wireless service across the state, Cingular Wireless today announced that it is launching brand new service in Dublin. To meet the growing wireless needs of customers in this booming Georgia community, Cingular obtained new licenses enabling it to offer wireless service and open new points of distribution in the area. As a part of the launch, the first Cingular store locations in the area are opening at 1632-B Veterans Boulevard and at 1110B Hillcrest Parkway and will be operated by authorized distributors of Cingular Wireless. The Veteran's Boulevard location will be operated by PCNOW and the Hillcrest Parkway store will be operated by eProviders, Inc. The company has added two new cell sites in Dublin which are located off Highway 16 and at Highway 80 and GA Highway 257-a part of the company's effort to enhance network performance and deliver advanced wireless applications like multi-media picture messaging, wireless business e-mail services and interactive gaming to residents in the growing communities outside of Metro Atlanta. These two sites will bring more than 52 square miles of new wireless coverage throughout the city and just south of Dublin. In 2003, Cingular announced phase two of its aggressive $80 million network expansion plan for Georgia, which will boost wireless coverage for customers by adding more than 200 new cell sites. Cingular spent more than $200 million last year on phase one of its network enhancement-the conversion to GSM-and improving coverage and capacity throughout the state.
