The year's conference theme, Helping Navigate Stormy Seas,
focuses on security challenges facing today's security
professionals, businesses and citizens, and the proactive steps to
mitigate cyber risk.
Papay will provide an aerospace and defense industry perspective
on setting up an internal information security program as well as
tailoring cyber solutions for customers. Seeking to answer the
question, "What action can I take right now to get ahead of the
cyber threat?" Papay will also cover appropriate business models to
consider as enterprises securely move toward cloud and mobile
solutions.
"Information sharing is critical when it comes to mitigating the
cyber threat," said Papay. "Given the national importance of the
data we protect, the aerospace and defense industry has been at the
forefront of developing innovative ways to protect that data for
more than 30 years, and doing so without compromising productivity.
I look forward to sharing best practices to help all industries
better protect their business today, and in the future."
The two-day event is co-hosted by the New York State Office of Information
Technology, the University at Albany's
School of Business and College of Computing and Information, and
