CN's track-maintenance employees in Canada ratify four-year collective agreement

MONTREAL, QUEBEC (NYSE: CNI) announced today the ratification of
a new four-year collective agreement by members of the United
Steelworkers (USW) union at CN's Canadian operations.
The agreement - providing enhancements in wages and benefits to
reflect work-rule flexibilities negotiated by the parties - applies
to approximately 3,000 employees who maintain CN track
infrastructure across Canada. It is effective Jan. 1, 2008.
Kim Madigan, CN vice-president of Labour Relations, said: "CN is
pleased that the joint efforts of the Company and USW produced a
new agreement in advance of the expiry date of the previous one on
Dec. 31, 2007. The new agreement reflects our employees'
endorsement of bargaining solutions that reward them for helping us
find solutions that increase productivity."
