("Base Oil and Gas" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Rob Bell as Vice President Business Development.  Mr. Bell has over 35 years of industry experience, most recently as a consultant to a number of private oil and gas producers.  Until 2009 he was Vice President - Engineering and Chief Operating Officer of Eagle Rock Exploration Ltd.  Prior to this he was a Founder, Vice President - Engineering and Chief Operating Office of Dragonheart Resources Ltd., a private exploration and production company.  From July 2002 to June 2006, Mr. Bell was Vice President - Engineering of Endev Energy Inc.  His extensive background includes production, exploitation, reservoir, facilities, projects, joint interest, and strategic planning.  Mr. Bell, P. Eng. graduated with a B. Sc. (Chemical Engineering) from the University of Calgary and is a member of APEGGA. The Company has granted Mr. Bell incentive stock options to acquire a total of 300,000 common shares of the Company at a price of Cdn $0.23 per share, exercisable for a period of 5 years. These incentive stock options are being granted in accordance with the Company's Stock Option Plan.
