Hartco Appoints Chief Information Officer

Hartco Inc. (TSX:HCI) today announced the appointment of Michael Jones to the
position of Chief Information Officer ("CIO").


Mr. Jones will lead Hartco's efforts to integrate information technology into
the company's long-term strategy as well as its ongoing operational plans, and
he will be responsible for driving critical IT projects which are essential to
Hartco's success.


Mr. Jones brings 30 years of business and IT experience to Hartco Inc.
("Hartco"), including five years with SAP, a world leader in enterprise software
solutions, where he most recently served as Global Vice President Store
Solutions and Vice President of Development.
