Doug Bartole Joins Board of New Sage Energy

New Sage Energy Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:NSG) has announced that Mr. Doug Bartole, P.
Eng. has joined the Board of Directors of the company.


Mr. Bartole is President and CEO of Vero Energy Inc. (TSX:VRO) a Calgary based
oil and natural gas exploration and development company. He has held the title
of CEO since the company's inception in 2005. From 2001 to 2005 Mr. Bartole held
various positions with True Energy including Vice President, Operations. From
1997 to 2000 he held various positions with Renaissance Energy Ltd., which
subsequently became part of Husky Oil Ltd. Prior to this he worked with Pan
Canadian Petroleum, a predecessor company to Encana Ltd., and has held various
operational positions with both major and junior oil and gas companies.


Mr. Bartole received a B.Sc. in Engineering from the University of Alberta in
1992 and a diploma in Petroleum Technology from SAIT in 1986. He is currently a
member of the Association of Professional Engineers, Geologists and
Geophysicists of Alberta, and the Petroleum Society of CIM.

The Company has granted Mr. Bartole options to purchase 300,000 common shares
exercisable at $0.24 valid for a period of five years and subject to regulatory
approval.
