Greenway Design Group, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: GDGI) was named the winner of the Harvey Mudd College Green Engineering Award during the 18th annual TechAmerica Orange County High-Tech Innovation Awards event held on June 9 in Irvine, CA. TechAmerica OC hosts the event to celebrate excellence and achievement among the region's technology sector.

Greenway Design Group, based in Huntington Beach, CA, received the honor in recognition for its work on Cool-n-Save energy-saving evaporative pre-cool misting technology designed for commercial and residential central air conditioning systems. Independent studies and results from customer sites have shown that Cool-n-Save can produce energy cost savings as high as 30% with an average savings of about 26% during peak heat seasons. The company has been developing pre-cool misting technology for HVAC systems since 2005.

"We have had many triumphs, but this award is the greatest honor that we have experienced as a company," says Ben Lefrancois, the company's CEO and president. "It helps us overcome outside skepticism that we can do what we claim we do; that Cool-n-Save is effective in saving money by reducing energy consumption."

Co-honorees for the Harvey Mudd College Green Engineering Award receiving certificates of merit include Amonix, developer of concentrated photovoltaic solar energy and solar power plants, and Fisker Automotive, manufacturer of premium plug-in hybrid electric vehicles.
