--Germany's Thyssenkrupp is considering three consortia led by private-equity firms for the sale of its elevator business, Reuters reports, citing unnamed sources.

--The industrial company shortlisted a consortium led by Advent and Cinven, a group headed by Carlyle and Blackstone as well as a third bidding team led by Brookfield, according to Reuters, but elevator maker Kone could still submit a bid until Jan. 27.

--A spokesman for Thyssenkrupp, which is considering partly or fully divesting the division, declined to comment.
