DaimlerChrysler Truck Financial Teams Up with Chicago Cares to Renovate Two Chicago Public Schools

LISLE, Ill., Aug. 9 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Hundreds of employees
from DaimlerChrysler Truck Financial are spending two days this
week teaming up with Chicago Cares to renovate two public schools
in Chicago. Today, approximately 120 DaimlerChrysler Truck
Financial employees will leave their laptops in Lisle and head to
the Ella Flagg Young Elementary School in the North Austin area to
paint nine classrooms and school hallways in addition to outside
painting on the playground. Young Elementary School serves about
1,650 students in grades K-8. Tomorrow, another 120 DaimlerChrysler
Truck Financial employees will head to Ericson Scholastic Academy,
at 3600 W. 5th Avenue. Ericson is a Magnet School which accepts its
700 students from all over the city on a lottery basis. There, the
volunteers will paint 20 classrooms, a United States map on the
playground and participate in other projects. "Our people are
excited about the opportunity to help get the schools ready for the
return of the students by creating a bright and colorful
environment in the classrooms," said Todd Hubbard, Vice President
