The American Stock ExchangeThe American Stock Exchange (or AMEX) is the third-largest stock exchange in the USA based on traded volume. It is situated in New York and the majority of trades occurring on the exchange are on small-cap stocks, ETFs and derivatives. NYSE Euronext acquired AMEX in 2008 and consequently AMEX became NYSE Amex Equities in 2009. In 2010, it's name was once again changed to NYSE MKT LLC. Trading hours for NYSE MKT are weekdays, 9:30am – 4pm (Eastern Time) |
