                           - Disclosure of Interest -

The Board of Ambient plc (the 'Company') received notification today, in
accordance with sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 1985, that Fidelity
International Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries, being
non-beneficial owners, now has a holding of 2,649,314 ordinary shares of 1p each
in Ambient plc, representing 4.82 per cent. of the Company's issued share
capital. The interests are, by virtue of his shareholding in FIL, also interests
of Mr Edward C. Johnson 3d.
