                    The tanker Settebello sold


Bergesen has sold its 51% share in the tanker Settebello (322,446 dwt, built
1983) to Omi Corporation, which presently owns 49% of the vessel.  The sale is
based on a ship value of USD 30 million.

The sales profit is approximately USD 6,8 million.

Bergesen will receive approximately USD 7,5 million in cash and 1,500,000 shares
of Omi Corporation's common stock at a price of $ 5.125 per share.  Omi
Corporation is listed on New York Stock Exchange.  Omi Corporation has
guaranteed the share price performance over a period of three months following
the issue and registration of the shares.
