Liquidation of Birthdays (Ireland) Limited, a subsidiary of Birthdays Retail Limited operating 14 stores in the Republic of Ireland

The Board of Clintons announces that group company, Birthdays (Ireland) Limited, is to be placed into liquidation.

Birthdays (Ireland) Limited comprises 14 loss making stores operating in the Republic of Ireland.

All of the Clinton Card stores and Birthdays UK stores currently operated by Clintons are unaffected and will continue to trade as normal.

The Group will announce its Interim Results for the six month period ended 30 January 2011 on 24 March 2011.
