Update on Newport retail scheme 
 
 
 
 
Further to the announcement made on 10 June 2009, Newport City Council ("NCC") 
has served formal notice on Friars Walk Newport Limited (formerly Modus Corovest 
(Newport) Limited) ("the Company") that it is not renewing the agreement for the 
development of Friars Walk, Newport. 
 
 
As the NCC has indicated it will acquire the properties owned by the Company via 
the compulsory purchase order process, the directors of the Company have 
resolved to facilitate the placing of the Company into administration. The 
investment (with a value of 10.95p per share) has been fully provided for in 
Ciref's accounts.
