Corinthian Colleges Plans to Open Olympia College in Chicago Metro
Area - Expansion in North Aurora, Illinois Marks Fifth New Campus
Announced for Fiscal 2005 - SANTA ANA, Calif., Oct. 28
/PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Corinthian Colleges, Inc. (NASDAQ:COCO)
today announced that it has signed a lease for a new Olympia
College in North Aurora, Illinois in the Chicago metropolitan area.
The campus will be located at 150 South Lincolnway, Suite 100 and
will encompass approximately 38,000 square feet. When opened, the
North Aurora campus will be the fifth Olympia College in the
greater Chicago area. It is expected to open in the fiscal 2005
third quarter ending March 31, 2005. "We began our expansion
efforts into Chicago in February 2001, and I am pleased to announce
plans for a new Olympia campus in the greater Chicago area," said
David G. Moore, chairman and chief executive officer. "We expect to
leverage our advertising expenses and strong lead flow in the
greater Chicago area as we extend our reach to North Aurora. Our
rapid growth in this metropolitan area is reflective of the demand
for the high quality, employer driven, career-oriented allied
health programs our Olympia Colleges offer." Initially,
Olympia-North Aurora will offer diploma programs in medical
assisting, and medical insurance billing and coding. North Aurora
is the fifth campus announced for fiscal 2005. Corinthian expects
the campus to have a student population of approximately 400 within
two years of its opening. Corinthian also operates Olympia Colleges
in downtown Chicago, Skokie and Burr Ridge, Illinois and
Merrillville, Indiana, and has previously announced its plans to
open an additional campus in Merrionette Park, Illinois. About
